Abstract

Pranje novca može se definirati kao proces jedne ili više kriminalnih djelatnosti, koje za namjeru ili konačni cilj imaju prikriti ili zametnuti tragove porijekla nezakonito stečenog novca ili dobiti. Pranje novca najčešće se povezuje s trgovinom drogom, ukradenim automobilima, trgovinom ljudima, prostitucijom i ostalim oblicima organiziranog kriminala, kojima se ostvaruju velike količine novca, a koji se kao takav ne može upotrijebiti, jer ostavlja tragove i izaziva veliku pozornost kada se počne trošiti, a takav novac ne može se opravdati zakonitim djelatnostima, te ga kao takvog prije stavljanja u optjecaj treba „oprati“.

Abstract (english)

Money laundering can be defined as proces which includes one or more illegal activities, which for it's final cause has goal to hide traces from illegal gained money or income. Money laundering is usually connected with drug trafficing, car stealing, human trafficing, prostitution and others sources of organised criminal activities which earn big ammounts of money, and that kind of money can't be used, becaouse it leaves traces from it's origins and causes attention. That kind of money can't be justified by legal activities, and becaouse of that it needs to be „laundered“ before it goes in financial circulations.
