Abstract
Stručna praksa kontrolinga više nije rezervirana samo za velika poduzeća. Promjenom dinamike i kompleksnosti vanjske okoline, poduzeća su primorana na proaktivnost u donošenju poslovnih odluka. Problemi s kojima se susreću mali poduzetnici u sektoru trgovine na malo u Hrvatskoj zahtijevaju implementaciju suvremenih rješenja kako bi se osigurao opstanak na tržištu. Neprilagođavanjem na promjene obrtnici gube ekonomsku snagu, udio i značaj u sektoru trgovine na malo. Na primjeru obrta Marina analizirao sam čimbenike koji utječu na poslovanje i potrebu za uvođenjem kontrolinga.

In modern markets controlling expertise is not reserved only for large size enterprises. Changes in complexity and dynamics of business environment have forced modern firms to act proactively. Problems that small enterprises encounter in retail sector in Croatia demand implementation of modern practices in order to survive on the market. By not adapting to recent changes in the Croatian retail sector, sole traders are losing their economic strength, market share and significance. Using the example of craft business Marina I have analyzed important factors that affect the business and necessity for controlling implementation.
