Abstract

Zagreb je glavni grad Republike Hrvatske i kao takav predstavlja glavno središte većine poslovnih aktivnosti cijele države. Kao i drugi veliki gradovi, tako i Zagreb kao administrativno, gospodarsko i obrazovno središte generira veliku potrebu za organizacijom i održavanjem kongresa i poslovnih sastanaka. Zbog veličine i atraktivnosti grada, njegove funkcije kao glavnog grada Hrvatske te potrebe za organiziranjem kongresa, konferencija i skupova, u sklopu rada Turističke zajednice grada Zagreba formiran je Kongresni ured. Zagreb je atraktivna destinacija za organiziranje poslovnih skupova, s nizom prednosti, no još nije u potpunosti iskoristila sve svoje potencijale. Zagreb ne može konkurirati na svjetskom tržištu asocijacija bez većih konferencijskih kapaciteta, odnosno barem jednog pravog kongresnog centra. No, njih se ne smije graditi bez pomne analize i pravilnog odabira destinacija koje zadovoljavaju ostalom infrastrukturom.

Abstract (english)

Zagreb is the capital of Croatian and as such represents the main center of most business activities all over the country . Like other large cities, such as Zagreb and the administrative, economic and educational center generates a great need for organization and holding conferences and business meetings. Due to the size and attractiveness of the city, its function as the Croatian capital, and the need for organization of congresses, conferences and meetings, as part of the work of the Zagreb Tourist Board was established Convention Bureau. Zagreb is an attractive destination for business meetings, with a number of advantages, but has not yet taken full advantage of their potential. Zagreb can not compete on the world market associations without major conference facilities, and at least one true congress center. But they must not be built without careful analysis and the proper choice of destinations that meet other infrastructure.
