Abstract

Industrija videoigara jedna je od najbrže rastućih industrija u svijetu i temeljna je kategorija medijske industrije. Unutar medijske industrije pripadaju segmentu filmova i zabave. Videoigre su odavno prestale biti samo hobi. Možemo reći da se danas radi o globalnom i to vrlo profitabilnom biznisu. Sve je veća prisutnost ljudi na društvenim mrežama u kojima se nudi mogućnost igranja videoigara, ostvarujući time veliki rast i doprinos razvoje industrije videoigara. Dijele se na videoigre za pametne telefone i tablete, videoigre za konzole i videoigre prilagođene za korištenje na osobnim računalima. Videoigre su u današnje vrijeme zahvatile šire dobne granice. Ne igraju ih više samo mladi. Igranje videoigara je postalo dio ljudske svakodnevice. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je analizirati industriju videoigara, njezin povijesni razvoj, poslovne performanse industrije i pogled na industriju videoigara. Svjesni smo činjenice da se igre igraju svuda oko nas. Analizirati ćemo koliko je navedena industrija profitabilna i isplativa i kakav je pogled sa raznih društvenih stajališta na samu industriju. Primjenom tehnologije igra se razvija u skladu s zahtjevima gospodarstva.

Abstract (english)

The video game industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and is a core category of the media industry. Within the media industry, they belong to the film and entertainment segment. Video games have long ceased to be just a hobby. We can say that today it is a global and very profitable business There is a growing presence of people on social networks that offer the possibility of playing video games, thus achieving a great growth and contribution to the development of the video game industry. They are divided into games for smartphones and tablets, games for consoles and games adapted for use on personal computers. Video games nowadays have spanned a wider age range. They are no longer just played by the young. Playing video games has become a part of human everyday life. The aim of this diploma paper is to analyze the video game industry, its historical development, business performance of the industry, and view of the video game industry. We are aware of the fact that games are played all around us. We will analyze how profitable and cost-effective this industry is, and what is point of view from various social points of the industry itself. Using technology, the game evolves to meet the demands of the economy.
