Abstract
Vitka proizvodnja ili Just-in-time sustav (JIT) predstavlja proizvodnu filozofiju i skup tehnika koje se temelje na eliminaciji svega što je nepotrebno, odnosno svega što stvara dodatni trošak u procesu proizvodnje, a ne dodaje vrijednost proizvodu. JIT sustav možemo promatrati kao proizvodnu metologiju koja ima za cilj povećanje produktivnosti i fleksibilnosti kroz eliminaciju svih nepotrebnih gubitaka i ukupne uključenosti ljudi što vodi do smanjenja ukupnih troškova poslovanja i veće kvalitete konačnog proizvoda.
