Abstract
Transport ima važnu ulogu u razvoju gospodarstva jer svaki proizvod koji se nalazi u trgovini mora biti transportiran od mjesta proizvodnje do mjesta potrošnje. Odabir transportnog sredstva koji će odgovarati brzinom, kvantitetom i kvalitetom transporta je od presudne važnosti za visinu troškova koji će utjecati na krajnju cijenu proizvoda, a time i na gospodarstvo. Onaj proizvođač koji će pronaći transportno sredstvo koje će ispuniti navedene zahtjeve će dostaviti svoje proizvode do mjesta potrošnje uz najniže troškove transporta, a time će i moći ponuditi kupcima svoj proizvod po najpovoljnijoj cijeni na tržištu.
