Abstract
Osnovni elementi lanca nabave su dobavljači, proizvođači, distributeri te kupci. Lanac započinje sirovinom, a završava gotovim proizvodom isporučenim krajnjem kupcu. Virtualna organizacija lanca nabave postiže se umrežavanjem i integracijom svih sudionika lanca radi ostvarenja zajedničkih ciljeva. Virtualizacija poslovanja nastala je kao rezultat uporabe informacijske i komunikacijske tehnologije u poduzeću. Informacijske tehnologije koje se koriste u lancu nabave su elektroničko poslovanje (e - business), elektronička razmjena podataka (Electronic Data Interchange – EDI), bar - kodovi, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tehnologija, Internet te intranet i ekstranet. Upravljanje lancem nabave obuhvaća upravljanje protokom proizvoda, usluga i informacija kroz lanac nabave uz usklađivanje i sinkronizaciju svih njegovih dijelova.
