Abstract

Autoimune bolesti i reakcije preosjetljivost česti su poremećaji imunološkog sustava. Autoimunost je izazvana odgovorom imunološkog sustava na vlastite antigene uz pomoć autoantitijela. Preosjetljivost je širi pojam, karakteriziran jakim odgovorom imunološkog sustava na vanjske antigene ili na autoantigene prisutne u organizmu. Mehanizmi autoimunosti i preosjetljivosti djelomično se preklapaju, iako u preosjetljivosti postoje i drugi mehanizmi koji nisu zastupljeni u autoimunosti, stoga je navedena dva poremećaja potrebno sagledavati zasebno. Genetska podloga pokazala se ključnom za razvoj i progresiju ovih poremećaja, stoga je potrebno istraživanja usmjeriti u pravcu detekcije „ključnih gena“ pokretača poremećaja s posebnim osvrtom na gene HLA skupine.

Abstract (english)

Autoimmune diseases and hypersensitivity reactions are common disorders of the immune system. Autoimmunity is caused by immune response to self antigens with the help of autoantibodies. Hypersensitivity reactions are a broader group of disorders, characterized by strong immune responses to external antigens or autoantigens present in organism. The mechanisms of autoimmunity and hypersensitivity reactions partially overlap, although the hypersensitivity reactions include additional mechanisms that are not present in autoimmunity, therefore these two disorders should be investigated separately. Genetic background was shown to be the most critical part of development and progression of these disorders. It is needed to uncover „key genes“ that trigger these disorders with special emphasis on HLA genes.
