Abstract

Svrha ovog završnog rada bila je otkrivanje načina nošenja sa stresom, kako izbjeći krizu i traumu te kako postati otporan na stres i teške i neugodne situacije sa kojima se svakodnevno susrećemo. Pokazalo se da stres ne možemo izbjeći ali ga možemo ublažiti. Neka istraživanja pokazala su da su neke osobine značajno povezane s načinima suočavanja sa stresom. Lazarus (2004.) sam ističe da su neke crte ličnosti zaštitni faktori stresnih događaja, kao npr. konstruktivno mišljenje, otpornost, samoefikasnost, osjećaj koherentnosti. Neke osobe upadnu u krizu i potrebno im je pomoći, olakšati i ubrzati oporavak i povratak u svakodnevne životne aktivnosti. Neke pak osobe dožive traumu. Postavlja se pitanje zašto neka djeca, unatoč izuzetno stresnim i rizičnim okolnostima njihova razvoja, ne razvijaju poremećaje u ponašanju, dok druga djeca variraju i nalaze se u jednoj od skupina visokorizičnih ponašanja s dugotrajnim negativnim posljedicama. Upravo zbog toga vrlo je važno da razvijemo otpornost. Otpornost možemo definirati kao uspješnu prilagodbu, kao što su akademski uspjeh, zdravi odnosi, dobrobit i nepostojanje internaliziranih ili eksternaliziranih poteškoća, unatoč nedaćama poput siromaštva, beskućništva, obiteljskih sukoba i nesigurnosti. Otpornost nije nikakav izniman proces ili osobina s kojom se rodimo, već se tu radi više o običnoj reakciji s fokusom na snage. Važno je djelovati i tražiti pomoć kada nam je potrebna. Također vrlo je važno da ostanemo pozitivni i da ne preuveličavamo problem. Na temelju svega zaključujem da je vrlo važno na koji ćemo način doživjeti događaje i kako ćemo se s njima nositi.

Abstract (english)

The purpose of this paper was research on how to deal with stress situations but also how to avoid crisis and trauma, how to become stress free and how to deal with hard and unpleasant situations of everyday life. Stress can't be avoided but one can easen it's effect. Some research have shown that personality traits are in correlation to the way of dealing with stress. Lazarus emphasis that some are defense mechanism such as constructive thinking, resistance, self-efficacy, coherency. Some people experience crisis and they need help, relief, fast recovery to their everyday life. Some people do experience trauma. Question that emerge is why some children surrounded with stress and other risk factors in their upbringing doesn't develop behavior disorders but in the same time other children are. Other children indicate high risk behavior with long lasting repercussions. In order to deal with this it's important to develope defense mechanism. Defense mechanism is defined as advanced progress such as academic prosperity, healthy relationships, wellbeing and absence of all problems, internal or external. Defense mechanism isn't something extraordinary or inherited, indeed it is a pure reaction with enormous strenght. There are few things that are important: to act, seek help when needed but also do not amplify problems that are solvable. In the conclusion it is important how someone faces new situations and deals with problems that comes with it.
