Abstract

U ovom radu objašnjeni su problemi željezničkog prijevoza u Republici Hrvatskoj te mogućnosti poboljšanja same mreže ulaganjem u kolodvore, vozni park i mreže pruga velikih učinkovitosti. Željeznički prijevoz je složena cjelina koja se u moderno doba može podudarati sa ostalim načinima prijevoza. Prednost željeznica je da najmanje onečišćuju okoliš, koriste najmanje pogonske energije, za prijevoz se koriste dva izvora energije: električna energija i dizelsko gorivo kao derivat nafte. Različite vrste prijevoznih sredstava omogućuju željeznicama da u bilo kojem trenutku mogu ispuniti postavljene ciljeve. Željeznički prijevoz je barem kod nas, neisplativ oblik prometa. Stari vozni park, stari kolodvori, zastarjela oprema kojoj je prošao vijek korištenja. Dakle, govoreći s aspekta našeg željezničkog prometa, mogu reći da se u naš željeznički promet mora uložiti puno snage, znanja i financija kako bismo ih doveli na razinu nekih od zemalja Europske unije. Do sada se najviše ulagalo u cestovni i zračni promet, ali od sada bi trebao biti cilj modernizirati željeznički prijevoz.

Abstract (english)

This paper explains the problems of railway transport in the Republic of Croatia and the possibilities of improving the network itself by investing in stations, rolling stock and high-efficiency railway networks. Rail transport is a complex whole that in modern times can coincide with other modes of transport. The advantage of railways is that they pollute the environment the least, use the least propulsion energy, and use two energy sources for transportation: electricity and diesel fuel as an oil derivative. Different types of means of transport allow the railways to meet the set goals at any time. Rail transport is, at least in our country, an unprofitable form of transport. Old vehicle fleet, old stations, obsolete equipment that has passed the age of use. So, speaking from the aspect of our railway transport, I can say that a lot of strength, knowledge and finances must be invested in our railway transport in order to bring them to the level of some of the countries of the European Union. So far, most investments have been made in road and air transport, but from now on the goal should be to modernize rail transport.
