Abstract

Ovaj se diplomski rad osvrće na ADHD u odrasloj dobi upravo zbog toga što se ADHD najviše povezuje s dječjom dobi i malo je istraživanja usmjereno na odraslu populaciju. Stoga je glavni cilj ovog rada prikazati jedinstvene perspektive odraslih osoba s ADHD-om u području promjene simptoma, interpersonalnih odnosa i svakodnevnog funkcioniranja. Istraživanje je provedeno u razdoblju od dva tjedna u lipnju 2020. godine. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 8 odraslih osoba s postavljenom dijagnozom ADHD-a od strane stručne osobe. Istraživanje je provedeno u obliku polustrukturiranog intervjua koji je bio sniman. Svi su prikupljeni podaci transkribirani i zatim podvrgnuti kvalitativnoj analizi podataka. Istraživanjem je utvrđeno kako se simptomi nepažnje i hiperaktivnosti smanjuju s godinama i kako se odrasli s ADHD-om susreću s nizom teškoća na području svakodnevnog funkcioniranja i interpersonalnih odnosa. Iako su samoinicijativno koristili različite oblike pomoći u funkcioniranju, navode kako je sustavna podrška za odraslu populaciju osoba s ADHD-om nužna.

Abstract (english)

ADHD is most often mentioned in addition to children and there are not enough researches focused on the adult population. Because of that this dissertation focuses on ADHD in adulthood. Therefore, the main goal of this paper is to present the unique perspective of adults with ADHD in the area of changing symptoms, interpersonal relationships and functioning in daily life. The research was conducted in two weeks period in June 2020. The study involved seven adults diagnosed with ADHD by a professional. The research was conducted in the form of a semi-structured interview that was recorded. All collected data was transcribed and subjected to qualitative dana analysis. After analysing data, it was concluded that the symptoms of inattention and hyperactivity decrease with age and that adults with ADHD face difficulty in the areas of daily functioning and interpersonal relationships. Although they use various forms of assistance in daily life on their own initiative, systematic support for the adult population with ADHD is necessary.
