Abstract

U ovom radu osmišljen je sustav za praćenje rada poslužitelja. Sustav se sastoji od poslužitelja o čijem se stanju podatci periodički zapisuju u bazu podataka vremenskih serija InfluxDB i aplikacije koja na ispravan način obrađuje i prikazuje podatke s poslužitelja. Korisnik nakon prijave u sustav dobiva uvid u stanje poslužitelja koje je prikazano grafovima implementiranima pomoću biblioteke Highcharts. Period prikazivanja i granulacija podataka mogu se mijenjati radi preciznijeg pregleda. U slučaju neobičnog ponašanja sustava, korisnik će pravovremeno putem SMS poruke i poruke e-pošte dobiti upozorenje. Na taj način korisnik može na vrijeme popraviti eventualni kvar ili reagirati na potencijalni napad na poslužitelja. U sustavu se nalaze dvije baze podataka, InfluxDB baza na poslužitelju i PostgreSQL baza u aplikaciji. InfluxDB baza sadrži podatke o stanju poslužitelja, dok PostgreSQL baza sadrži podatke o korisnicima i podatke o upozorenjima, tj. neuobičajenim stanjima poslužitelja. Aplikacija je izrađena u programskom jeziku Ruby.

Abstract (english)

In this paper, a server monitoring system has been designed. The system consists of a server whose status data is periodically written into the InfluxDB time series database and the application that correctly processes and displays server data. After logging into the system, the user receives the status of the server that is displayed in graphs implemented by the Highcharts library. The time of display and granulation of data can be changed for a more accurate review. In case of unusual system behaviour, the user will receive a warning in a timely manner via SMS and email. This allows the user to repair a potential failure in time or react to a potential attack on the server. There are two databases in the system, the InfluxDB database on the server and the PostgreSQL database in the application. The InfluxDB database contains server status information, while the PostgreSQL database contains user information and warning information, i.e. unusual server statuses. The application was created in the Ruby programming language.
