Abstract

Tema ovog rada je objasniti i prikazati rad protokola DHCP i DNS. U prvom poglavlju je prvo opisano zašto je protokol DHCP potreban. Zatim je opisan njegova osnovna funkcionalnost te na koji način klijent i poslužitelj komuniciraju. Na kraju poglavlja je napravljena usporedba između statičkog i dinamičkog načina konfiguriranja klijenta. U drugom poglavlju je prikazan rad DNS protokola i objašnjeni su pojmovi domena i hijerahija istih. Nadalje je opisan proces rezolucije imena te komunikacija klijenta i DNS poslužitelja. U zadnje poglavlju prikazan na koji način simulirati rad tih protokola u alatu Packet Tracer.

Abstract (english)

The theme of this thesis is to explain and show the way DHCP i DNS protocols work. First chapter contains the explanation why DHCP protocol is needed. Subsequently is the description of the basic funcionality and the way the client and server communicate. End of the chapter contains the comparison between static and dynamic host configuration. The second chapter contains the description of the DNS protocol and it explains the terms domain and domain hierarchy. Futher is the description of the name resolution and communication of the client and a DNS server. The last chapter explains how to simulate DNS and DHCP protocols using Packet Tracer tool.
