Abstract
Završni rad Sovjetski Hollywood na primjeru filma „Cirkus“ (Sovetskij Gollivud na primere fil'ma «Cirk») posvećen je analizi filma Cirkus (1936), glazbene komedije ruskog redatelja Grigorija Aleksandrova. Film je analiziran u kontekstu političke klime 1930-ih godina u Sovjetskom Savezu i ondašnjih represija. Osnovna zadaća rada jest analizirati kako se u filmu odražava „sovjetski Hollywood“, tj. na koji način sovjetski redatelj koristi američku tradiciju filmskih komedija i američki žanr mjuzikla u ideološke svrhe te na koji se način u filmu realizira propagandna dihotomija SAD-a kao nepravedne zemlje i SSSR-a kao pravedne i sretne zemlje. S obzirom da je glazba najvažniji element žanra glazbene komedije, njoj je posvećena posebna pažnja, kao i tekstovima pjesmama u kojima jasno izvire ideološka funkcija filma.
