Abstract

U ovom završnom radu je provedena metalografska analiza kočionog diska bolida Formula student kako bi se pokušao otkriti uzrok puknuća. U prvom dijelu je teorijski opisan kočioni sustav i način funkcioniranja, a posebno su detaljnije opisane disk kočnice i kočioni disk koji je jedan od najvažnijih dijelova disk kočnica u modernim vozilima. Naposljetku je u ovom radu opisana teorija kompozitnih materijala te proizvodnja kočionih diskova koji su izrađeni od kompozitnih materijala. U zadnjem dijelu se ispituju tri kočiona diska gdje je provedena metalografska analiza oštećenih i neoštećenih kočionih diskova te su rezultati međusobno uspoređeni kako bi se pokušalo otkriti uzrok loma.

Abstract (english)

In this undergraduate thesis, a metallographic analysis of the brake disc of a Formula student race car was performed to try to discover the cause of the rupture. The first part theoretically describes the braking system and mode of operation, and in particular describes in more detail the disc brakes and the brake disc, which is one of the most important parts of disc brakes in modern vehicles. Finally, this undergraduate thesis describes the theory of composite materials and the production of brake discs made of composite materials. In the last part, three brake discs are tested, where a metallographic analysis of damaged and undamaged brake discs is performed, and the results are compared with each other in order to try to discover the cause of the fracture.
