Abstract

Tema ovog završnog rada jest izvijanje štapa u elastičnom području. U statičkim proračunima konstrukcija potrebno je određene elemente provjeriti na izvijanje. Točnije, radi se o vitkim elementima kojima pri određenom tlačnom opterećenju otkazuje nosivost. Na samom početku rada objašnjeni su pojmovi stabilne, indiferentne i labilne ravnoteže te su isti prikazani na primjeru deformabilnog štapa. Središnji dio rada obuhvaća Eulerovu kritičnu silu i njezine izraze koji se razlikuju s obzirom na način pričvršćenja štapa. Navedena su četiri slučaja s različitim rubnim uvjetima. Također, prikazano je kritično naprezanje i vitkost štapa kao ključan faktor pri izvijanju elemenata. Zadnji dio rada bavi se dimenzioniranjem štapova, odnosno, uvjetima koje moraju zadovoljiti kako bi njihova svrha bila potpuna i sigurna.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this thesis is elastic buckling of bars. In static analysis of structures certain elements ought to be checked for buckling. Specifically, it focuses on the slender elements which are at risk of failure under certain compressive loads. At the beginning of the paper the concepts of stable, indifferent, and labile equilibrium are explained and presented on the example of a deformable bar. The middle part of the paper covers Euler's critical force and its manifestations which differ according to the way the bar is attached. Four cases are specified, each having different boundary conditions. Moreover, critical stress and slenderness of the bar are depicted as the crucial factors of element buckling. The last part deals with the dimensioning of bars, namely, the conditions which ought to be satisfied so their purpose is complete and safe.
