Abstract

U radu su analizirane predodžbe o majčinstvu u romanima u razdoblju od 1920. do 1930. godine. Rad ponajprije opisuje i donosi kulturne predodžbe o majčinstvu koje su nastale tijekom povijesti te način na koji su se te predodžbe mijenjale ovisno o promjenama koje su nastale u društvu. Na temelju Povijesti hrvatskog romana od 1900. do 1945. godine i Ljepše polovice književnosti sastavljen je popis romana koji na bilo koji način tematiziraju majčinstvo. Analizirajući romane, prepoznati su koncepti koji opisuju određen tip majčinstva. Tako se u radu spominje pozitivan koncept u kojem je majčinstvo prikazano kao najveći oblik sreće, kao i pitanje vlastitog izbora s kojim se junakinje susreću kada odabiru žele li postati majkama ili ne. Nakon toga prikazan je negativan koncept majčinstva, a posljednji koncept odnosi se na nastanak dileme između ljubavi prema djetetu i ljubavi prema muškarcu.

Abstract (english)

The paper analyzes the ideas of motherhood in the novels during the period from 1920. to 1930. The paper first describes and point out the cultural perceptions of motherhood that have occurred throughout history in the manner in which these ideas have changed depending on the changes that have occurred in society. Based on Povijest hrvatskog romana od 1900. do 1945. godine and Ljepša polovica književnosti it was made a list of novels that in any way mention motherhood. Analyzing novels there were created concepts that describe a certain type of motherhood. In the paper we can find the positive concept in which motherhood is shown as the greatest form of happiness. The second concet is their own choice in which the heroine have a choice if they want to become mothers or not. The third concept has a negative concept of motherhood, and the last concept refers to the emergence of the dilemma between love for a child and the love of man.
