Abstract

Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je odrediti kemijske i biološke pokazatelje kakvoće neobrađene i obrađene otpadne vode grada Velika Gorica te provesti analizu rada uređaja za pročišćavanje otpadne vode Velika Gorica. Rad uređaja motren je tijekom perioda listopad-prosinac 2007. godine. Određivani su slijedeći pokazatelji kakvoće: kemijska potrošnja kisika (KPK), biokemijska potrošnja kisika (BPK5), amonijakalni dušik (N-NH4), suha tvar aktivnog mulja, indeks mulja, koncentracija otopljenog kisika, pH-vrijednost i temperatura. Dobiveni vrijednosti pokazatelja kakvoće se uspoređuju sa maksimalnim dopuštenim koncentracijama. Postignuti su rezultati uklanjanja KPK 87% za listopad te 89% za studeni i prosinac, te uklanajnja BPK5 i to 89% za listopad, 99% za studeni i 94% za prosinac. Također istražena je u laboratorijskim uvjetima aktivnost aktivnog mulja za provedbu procesa uklanjanja sastojaka s dušikom iz otpadne vode, kao i aktivnost mješovite mikrobne kulture u obliku granula za razgradnju otpadne vode grada Velika Gorica. Aktivni mulj nema sposobnost uklanjanja sastojaka s dušikom. Mješovita mikrobna kultura u obliku granula potpuno prevodi amonijak u nitrate tijekom nitrifikacije, te provodi denitrifikaciju nitrificirane otpadne vode uz utrošak organskih sastojaka kao donora elektrona.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this work was to determine chemical and biological parameters and process analysis of wastewater treatment plant for municipal wastewater of Velika Gorica city. Process is monitored during the period from October to December 2007. The following parameters were determined: chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), ammonium nitrogen (N-NH4), suspended solids, sludge volume index, dissolved oxygen concentration, pH-value and temperature. Obtained results were compared with maximum allowed concentration regulated by the national law. Average removal efficiencies were determined; for COD removal: 87% in October and 89% in November and December, for BOD removal: 89% in October, 99% in November and 94% in December. Also, activity of activated sludge and mixed microbial culture in the form of granula for nitrogen compounds removal from wastewater was investigated. It was shown that activated sludge has no abilities for nitrogen removal. Mixed microbial culture in form of granula completely converted ammonium nitrogen to nitrate during the process of nitrification and during the denitrification process performed denitrification with consumption of organic compounds.
