Abstract

Tema je rada suicidalno ponašanje mlade populacije koje predstavlja jedan
od tri najčešća uzroka smrti u adolescentskoj populaciji. Cilj je rada pobliže se
upoznati s različitim segmentima tog velikog globalnog problema današnjice.
Uključivanjem zajednice i timskim radom stručnih radnika iz područja socijalnih i
zdravstvenih djelatnosti nastoji se pravovremeno prepoznati rizične čimbenike i
znakove upozorenja suicidalnosti te ojačati zaštitne čimbenike koji smanjuju
progresiju suicidalnih misli i ponašanja. Uz individualni pristup i adekvatnu pomoć
pojedincima i njihovim bližnjima, bitna je i prevencija suicidalnog ponašanja nizom
aktivnosti, uključujući i educiranjem opće populacije.

Abstract (english)

The topic of the paper is suicidal behaviour in the population of youth,
which is increasing in modern times and is one of the three most common causes of
death in the adolescent population. The aim of the paper is to get acquainted with
different segments of this global problem of today. By involving the community and
teamwork of professionals in the field of social and health, efforts are made to identify
risk factors and warning signs of suicide in a timely manner and to strengthen
protective factors that reduce teh progression of suicidal thoughts and behaviour. In
addition to the individual approach and adeguate help for individuals and their
families, it is important to prevent suicidal behaviour through a series of activities,
includion the education of the general population.
