Abstract

Predmet istraživanja ovog rada su vodotočni sedimenti s područja gore Psunj. Cilj istraživanja je bio odrediti njihov kapacitet kationske zamjene te neke od parametara o kojima taj kapacitet ovisi. Svrha istraživanja je ispomoć u analizama za disertaciju Danijela Ivaniševića iz Hrvatskog geološkog instituta (HGI). 21 uzorak za ovo istraživanje odabrani su između više od 300 uzoraka vodotočnih sedimenata na temelju multivarijatne statističke analize kemijskog sastava koju je proveo Danijel Ivanišević. Provedene se sljedeće kemijske analize: određivanje kapaciteta kationske zamjene (Cu trien metodom); određivanje masenog udjela organske tvari (gravimetrijski, otapanjem u vodikovom peroksidu); određivanje udjela dobrokristaliziranih te lošekristaliziranih i amorfnih željezovih (oksi)hidroksida (gravimetrijski, otapanjem u ditionit-citrat-bikarbonatu, odnosno oksalatu). Koncentracije bakra za potrebe izračuna kapaciteta kationske zamjene izmjerene su pomoću spektrofotometra, dok je udio željeza određen atomsko-apsorpcijskom spektroskopijom (AAS). Prikazom korelacije rezultata laboratorijskih analiza opisana je veza kapaciteta kationske zamjene s udjelima organske tvari i željezovih (oksi)hidroksida u vodotočnom sedimentu.

Abstract (english)

The subject of this research are stream sediments from the area of mountain Psunj. The goal of this research was to determinate their cation exchange capacity and to determine some of the parameters which this capacity depends on. The purpose of doing this research is helping out in the selected analyses for dissertation by Danijel Ivanišević (working for Croatian Geological Institute). 21 samples for this investigation are chosen out of 300 stream sediment samples using multivariant statistical analysis of chemistry content perforemed by Danijel Ivanišević. The following chemical analysis were conducted: determination of the cation exchange capacity (Cu trien method); determination of organic matter percentage (gravimetric, by dissolution in hydrogen peroxide); determination the crystallized and amorphous or poorly crystalline iron (oxy)hydroxides (gravimetric, by dissolution in dithionite-citrate-bicarbonate and in oxalate respecitvely). Concentration of copper is measured using spectrophotometer, while iron using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The relationship of the cation exchange capacity andorganic matter and iron (oxy)hydroxides in the stream sediment is presented and discussed.
